We could sense the eagerness to listen to another tale of glory from one of our outstanding alumni, so let’s get started, shall we? This week’s alumnus is a total superstar! Meet Mark Pinto, a recent CMA graduate who is also pursuing his CPA with Miles. Mark’s personality can be described as focused, determined, and driven. He has a clear vision of what he wants and isn’t afraid to put in the hard work to achieve his goals.
After achieving his dual certification, Mark’s future plans include looking for the best opportunities in the Big 4 and going abroad. Without any further ado, let’s dive in and have a look at Mark’s journey!
Journey
Mark’s journey with Miles started when he discovered a YouTube advertisement featuring the man himself, Varun Jain. Even though Mark was initially planning to go for CPA, unfortunately, he was not eligible at that time. However, he found out that the CMA program had a lot of overlapping curriculum with CPA, and he decided to pursue it as a good warm-up for CPA.
In regards to Miles, Mark mentioned his journey being smooth, with loads of help and support available from the registration phase to the placement phase. Further, he did have very important advice for CMA aspirants “to clear their concepts and practice a lot to save time on the exam day.” While we agree with him, hearing it from a successful alumnus is always very encouraging.
Fun Side Out
Aside from his professional pursuits, we also got to know Mark on a more personal level. The revelations made were quite interesting! We learned how Mark loves to unwind with meditation and soothing music and that his favorite movie is Bahubali. He also shared his wildest opinions, such as wanting to spend his life in Vegas and choosing the Friends theme song as his personal anthem. Now isn’t that fun? And Oh well Mark, we’ll be there for you too!
In a hypothetical situation where Mark got all the funding he needed to start his own business, he would choose to start a financial institution that includes consulting and more.
Financial Advice
Towards the end, Mark leaves us with one money tip: always save before you spend. Save it for later, it’ll definitely be useful! The way he learned this as a kid was by spending whatever little money he had on food and snacks.
While this blog focuses on Mark, we have more exciting alumni stories coming up. Stay tuned for future blogs that will give you a glimpse into the journey of our other alumni.
